P7 also took part in the local history project, Strand Stories.
Rosie Hickey from The Strand Cinema visited St. Joseph's and provided a very interesting presentation on the history of the cinema to the pupils. Rosie also provided some very helpful resources and recording equipment for pupils to record each other's thoughts and family members' memories of the cinema.
We were then invited to visit The Strand, where Rosie provided a behind the scenes heritage tour and the pupils got the chance to watch 'The Bad Guys' on the big screen!
