P5 had an incredible visit to Stormont on the 11th March. They had a behind-the-scenes look at the Assembly and Senate Chambers, learning about how our democracy works. They even met two of our local East Belfast MLAs, David Brooks (DUP) and Peter McReynolds (Alliance) and asked questions Kirsty Warke would have been proud of. After, they took on the role of assembly members and had a very tough debate about school uniforms. Taking on roles such as First and Deputy First Minister, Education Minister and chief whips, the P5s had fun learning about the role of MLAs and how votes are passed.
